A little about who I am,
My name is Austin McVeigh and I am a 2D animator from Canton, Michigan. I graduated from College for Creative Studies in Detroit Michigan in 2022, with a BFA (Animation). Michigan has always been my home and growing up in the state I fell in love with the outdoors. I love to be outside enjoying nature, and try to get out there as much as possible. I am a Detroit sports fan, history nerd, and have a black belt in Tang Soo Do. These things influence me and my work tremendously, and my subject matter will often reflect it. Depictions of nature, hand-drawn effects, and fast paced fight choreography are things I love to animate most. This can sometimes be a bit of a duality, but that is an important part of who I am as a person and as an artist. Most of all I like telling stories, and what better way to tell a story then with a medium where you control and create every part of it. This is what attracted me to 2D animation. I have been drawing all my life, but what really makes me excited is bringing those drawings to life with the magic of animation.
